Our college library occupies a place of pride and prominence among the libraries in the states of Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh (Union Territory).
It is one of the most well-stocked libraries with nearly 100,000 volumes with an 'open-shelf' system. It subscribes to 110 periodicals and journals, besides 16 dailies. The textbook section of the library has 29,000 books, probably the largest number in any library in the region.
We have a special section for the Post-graduate students in English and subscribe to many literary and research journals and audio cassettes.

Library Rules
- A non-transferable identity-cum-library card is issued to each student. In case of loss of a book, an immediate report must be made to the librarian and a duplicate record book be obtained on payment of Rs. 15.
- Each student is required carry this card on his/her person while on the college premises. It should be shown on demand to any member of the staff. Various rules pertaining to sanction of leave/eligibility conditions, etc. are printed on this identity card.
- Parents/guardians are expected to keep themselves informed of their ward’s progress and regularity.
- Number of books issued to a student of TDC I/II/III is two, M.A./M.Sc. I and II and of Honours class is four. Period of retention of books allowed in each case is 14 days, failing which a fine of 50p per day would be levied.
- Reference books and magazines are not issued to the students.
- Loss of books should be immediately reported to the librarian and the matter settled by replacing the book by paying its price within a week of the due date. Delay fine, however, will be charged up to the day the matter is settled.
- Damage, if any, to a book should be brought to the notice of the librarian at the time it is issued, otherwise, the person returning it, shall be held responsible for the damage.
